The Power in God's Name!

Sometimes life can be going really smoothly, sometimes no so much. But in both situations sometimes we need to speak power into what is going on and there is no better way than through God's name.

But God's name is now used used inappropriately throughout the world millions of times each day. 'Oh my God' 'For God's sake' 'God damn it' - they make me recoil and want to instantly educate people on how to use God's name correctly and on how AMAZING he actually is!

God's name:
Imagine it like this:- The MOST loving, kind, considerate, loyal, faithful being. The BEST listener, teacher and carer. The GREATEST forgiving, gentle and honest being ever to have existed.

Imagine then that beings name being used in a derogatory, malicious, inappropriate way that is in fact used to hurt others. The COMPLETE opposite of what this amazing being set out to do!

That is only the START of using God's name inappropriately! It's not only completely unfair on him, but all the people that in fact see God, our HEAVENLY Father in his true light- as the most important thing in our lives. To then hear his name be used in such a manner can not only be frustrating, but extremely upsetting!

GOD'S NAME SPEAKS LIFE INTO THE WORLD!

It speaks HOPE into the lost, LIFE into the weary!

God's name is used in prayer and worship but it can also be used by YOU.

YOU have the power just as much as anyone else to bond with God and share his word.

GOD SPEAKS THROUGH YOU!

So instead of 'Oh my God', Pray God's name into the situation and reap the blessings! Pray for his guidance, his peace and his love. Because you WILL receive! God doesn't leave anyone alone, but it is a TWO way conversation for you to open the doors of your heart to him.

Please think of the impact of using such phrases, and next time pray into the situation, just try it!

God's eyes show my life is taking the right path for me!

Some days, I sit here wallowing in self pity. I lie here thinking why me? 

But the past two days, I have prayed and I have prayed and I have prayed lots more! I have begged God to take this away and I have been so angry for doing this to me. 

But more than one of the wise women I know have said this week that this is not Gods doing. That I am Infact seen as a threat by the enemy and this is HIS doing. 

I am BLESSED to be seen as a threat by the enemy because it Infact means I am STRONG. I have POWER AND WISDOM AND LOVE in sharing Gods word! I ADORE him and will not let anything change that! The devil is trying to knock me down with this huge trial but I shall not be defeated!  

BECAUSE I HAVE GODS WORD TO SHARE! I have his love to receive, I have a faith that is forever growing, I have a life to live taking in the beauty that HE created! 

This is Infact MY lives plan and the enemy may interfere but I will still continure to live and learn and mature into a beautiful woman of God, from the young person I am now. My life is not easy and I have made mistakes but I would not be grateful of Gods MERCY and FORGIVENESS if it was perfect! 

My health is not good, but if it was perfect I wouldn't be as half as thankful for the little things in life. I would hit the world at a million miles per hour and take no notice of the AMAZING world we live in, I wouldn't be thankful for the gift of BREATHING, SEEING, HEARING. I wouldn't be thankful for the WONDERFUL life forms ALL around us. 

I wouldn't have the time to sit and read my bible as much as I do, I wouldn't make time for studying and prayer because I would feel no NEED for it. 

BUT PRAYER ISNT ABOUT NEED, PRAYER IS ABOUT THANKS, FORGIVENESS, COMMUNICATION! 

PRAYER IS PERSONAL AND DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. 

I am Infact THANKFUL for the life I have reicieved because it has helped me MATURE, GROW, GAIN WISDOM, it has given me the ability to HELP those who need it, because I know what it's like when the going gets tough! 

Gods plan for me is PERFECT! 

And that is all! 

Jesus died for us!

"This is what the son of man has done.

He came to serve, not to be served &

then to give away his life in exchange for many

who are held hostage." -Mark 10:45 (MSG)

Isn't that just amazing? God gave his son, for us. For the redemption of our sins (to save us). He sacrifices someone he loved more than we can comprehend, that's how much he loves us! 

"For God so loved the world,

 that he gave his only son,

that whoever believes in him should not perish

but have eternal life." -John 3:16

We have eternal life! That can be a scary prospect, but it is so exciting. we are going to meet God. To me, that makes all the trials he has put in place in life totally worth it. At judgement he will point out our good or bad. But ultimately he will shower us with the perfect love we so gratefully deserve.

It's so hard to comprehend just how perfect Jesus was, this is something we will never achieve but can totally use as an ultimate role model and aspiration. Jesus is the perfect person to follow the example of. People may not always like your decisions, but if Jesus would of approved then it's totally worth it!

You can be forgiven for your sins because Jesus was so perfect. All it takes is a heartfelt sorry of repentance to God, a humble ask for forgiveness and proof you will try your up most hardest to change your ways. He will forgive you, and if need be- help you forgive yourself too. 

A prayer of forgiveness could go something like this....but it's totally up to you! 

Dear father, Almighty God,

I am so sorry for my wrongdoings that have separated you & I,

I know I have broken your laws. 

I want to turn away from sin God,

and focus my life on you.

Please forgive me,

and help me stay away from my wrong doings in the future.

Please help me focus on Jesus as my role model God,

I am so blessed to have you in my life, 

Please continue to mould me into the person you want me to be. 

In Jesus' name,

Amen. 

Prayer is very personal and some people find it very difficult, but the blessing you receive when asking for forgiveness are just mind blowing. 

So, Jesus died for you and I. Lets not turn our heads away from him but instead focus our eyes on what really matters...Jesus Christ. 

Lets do him proud! 

The power of prayer

Prayer- a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or another diety. 

Sometimes it's hard to pray. There is all sorts of obstacles thrown in the way (the work of satan). This could be practically finding the time. Emotionally we may feel isolated and weary. It is in our darkest moments we often turn against God; when Infact this is when we need to pray twice as much as usual! Pray protection over yourself and you will be amazed at the results. 

There are many bible verses that tell us to pray, including: 

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 

1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray continually; 

1 Timothy 2:8 I want men everywhere to lift up holy hand in prayer without anger/dispute

I am so blessed with the ability to talk to the almighty king and so are you. He is always listening and reaching out to you. Prayer can be however suits you best. Perhaps a short prayer to memorise or maybe writing a prayer journal. Listening to worship music is a great way to invite the Holy Spirit into the room during prayer. 

I truly believe in the power of large and that it can perform miracles. Pray protection over the people that aren't so lucky and haven't found God in their lives yet. We are so lucky and it is our mission to spread the word. 

You are so deserving of help from God. He loves you so much! By praying a short prayer like the one I have typed below you are kick starting your relationship with him. 

"Dear God Almighty, 

Thank you for blessing me with the ability to talk to you, please pore protection into my heart and fill me with encouragement to continue doing so.

In Jesus' name, Amen x"

That is so simple, yet could begin the process of creating your eternal connection with God. A connection you have been blessed with and should use! 

I haven't always found praying easy, but with God we are never alone and all he wants to do is care for us. I promise you will receive blessing in your life. 

So go ahead and pray right now,

Why do bad things happen to good people?

This is a question I have heard from many people recently, whilst loved ones are going through a painfully difficult time, whilst there is loss of beautiful individuals and everything is overcast by a negative haze. It is so easy to turn the blame on God when the road becomes rocky but that is really not the way forward. 

On this earth we are blessed with the ability to make choices... 

We have power! we are blessed to recurve such a gift, but unfortunately power can be misused, making the lives of other miserable. People can choose that their life is no longer, people can choose to sabotage the lives of others...Making everybody miserable. Instead of praying for these individuals we often become angry, dissapointed and upset; resenting them for their behaviour. 

We may turn the blame onto God, deciding he isn't as powerful as we first though and rebel against him out of pure hurt or frustration. 

Instead of doing this we could try and better the situation! Pray, Worship, Read, Thank...it really is my answer to everything. 

Pray to God for the people in your life causing upset. They can't be happy people. Talk to God and put your faith in him, he can help you so much more if you have faith in him and soften your heart towards him. Praying is such a good way to open the doors of conversation with God.  

Worship and spend time with people who do great you well, worshiping The Lord! Remember to recharge those faith batteries. Read and take comfort from the Bible and Thank God for giving you the power to battle through despite difficult circumstances. 

When you feel like pushing God away is often when you need him most. 

Everyone will face judgement and you will feel the rewards. But until then we must be like Jesus and forgive people for their sin. Forgive and pray that they will see their wrong doing. Instead of being angry, feel sorry for them. 

So why do bad things happen to good people? 

•Because we have the ability to make choices. 

God ultimately is there to pick up the pieces from out wrong doings. We make mistakes as no human is perfect! But they are forgiven by our Saviour. The best thing we can do is be Christ like and try to forgive too. 

By sharing Gods word and transforming lives we can bit by but turn a world full of sin into a world focused on God,

Your worth is far more than Rubies!

This morning I decided to study proverbs 31, I believe it's so important to set myself up to be the best woman and wife I could possibly be for the future. 

I started searching the internet to look at different peoples perspectives on this chapter of the bible and came across a wonderful view on the chapter over at thefullytimegirl.com 

This quote sums it up nicely: 

When reading Proverbs 31 in the past I have been left feeling incredibly deflated. I have been left feeling inadequate and concerned that I am in no way living up to the standards of the woman mentioned. 

But I can now see what I'm reading from a new perspective. The unnamed woman in proverbs 31 seems like she has perfect  qualities and attributes but when I read to the end of the chapter it says...

"Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades. The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God. Give her everything she deserves, Festoon her life with praises!"

And then the breath of fresh air hits me. How amazing is that? We don't need to be perfect, or polished. As long as we life  with a desire to please The Lord no matter what the circumstances, positive attributes will shine through. 

We can aspire to reach our greatest potential, to please God and serve others and you will be seen as true beauty. True beauty comes from within. 

True beauty is what really matters, not the polished surface that shows. There is no point being 'perfect' but have a heard heart after all! 

Be humble, desire to please and you are a true beauty. 

Spoken word- a child.

A Child of ever lasting light

Weeps through the night

No hope in sight

Such light cant fight

Not with strength not with might

The child of ever lasting light.

A world with no diversity

Filled with harsh hypocrisy

There is no policy

Pushing the capability

of loving humanity

watching out for childrens misery.

A child with fire deep inside

Yet they hauntingly hide

That they feel no pride.

No human should live in such a way,

Especially a child who has no say

Such dismay we should portray

At those who walk by each day.

But there is hope for the lost

A loving father with no cost.

Don’t feel alone dear child,

Let you hair down, go wild!

Show the world your smile from ear to ear

Talk to God as he will always hear

In prayer you can cheer

Because young child he is near.

The years go on and you grow older

With age you grow wiser

And your love grows stronger

A love for a Father

You will always remember

Who saved you when you were younger

Now you recognise you are a survivor

It may be something small that caused unbareable pain

But that pain can never hurt you again

Because you are older, stronger and wiser.

And you have a protector

Who will always remember

The conversation you made with you saviour.

God our father is not a delusion

There is no confusion

He is right by our sides

With no hesitation.

So open your heart and be ready to hear

Hear him whisper sweet words right into your ear

God so graciously blesses our lives

When you accept his love

 You will live not survive. 

Be God strong!

When you grow up in a world full of sin, focusing your eyes on God is by no means easy, Infact it's far from it! But being God strong is possible, after all you have the most powerful almighty King on your side. There is hope. I believe there are key ways to help you stay God strong in the 21st century. In no particular order of importance I would like to share them. 

By surrounding yourself by like minded people you are setting a key strong foundation to prepare yourself to focus your life on Jesus. These people, whether they be family, friends or even work  colleagues will be able to pick you up on the days you can feel yourself wandering from the path. They will share life with you. 

But another incredible important part of being 'God strong' is sharing his word with others who are not familiar with our almighty king. Sharing his love and word with those who are overshadowed with darkness and unable to see the light. Mark 16;15 tells us: 

We are incredibly privaledged to be blessed with already knowing Gods word, love and peace, but if we do not share this with others; we are denying them of the same privaledge they deserve! We don't have to share Gods love in big bold acts. A small quiet whisper to a person in need is often enough. By doing this you will receive blessing in your own life too. 

Going to church and joining in church activities helps keep our faith strong. Feeling the spirit in the house of The Lord is often enough to recharge our 'faith batteries' if they are running low. But please don't be dismayed if you can't make it to church or a group, worship music and sermons are so readily available on the internet etc.. That you can almost being the church atmosphere to your home! 

PRAY OFTEN, I truly believe that the only way we can tube into Gods voice is if we TALK to him! If we MAKE conversation! If we OPEN our hearts to his words, comfort and guidance. Colossians 4:2 tells us: 

It is so important that we THANK god for all the blessings in our lives, not just asking for more. He works SO hard for us and we need to be thankful. 

So last but not least, READ. NOURISH your mind with the Gospel. We have a wonderful book full of the word of God, so USE it, it's there for YOU! Read, study and pray over the word of God, you will not be dissapointed! 

I trust that by doing these things you can stay God strong in the 21st century. I have faith in you, but more importantly the almighty kind, our father, has faith in you!
